The number of applications for the registration of a new company reached 1,003 this August (+9.8%), compared to 913 in August 2017.

Over an eight-month period (January – August 2018) applications for new company registrations reached the amount of 9,854 compared to the 8,666 during the same period of 2017, recording a substantial increase of 13.7%.

Meanwhile, applications for company names in August 2018 experienced a minor drop of 0.34% reaching 2,022 compared to 2,029 in the same month of 2017.

The number of registered companies as of August 31st 2018 totaled 213,213, whereas, the total registered companies by the end of 2017 reached the amount of 217,588. Additionally, new registrations in the first eight months of 2018 were recorded at 9,625 while in the whole year of 2017 they were recorded at 13,677.
