Visit of the Minister of Telecommunications of Lebanon to Cyta

The Minister of Telecommunications of Lebanon, Mr Jamal Al-Jarrah, accompanied by the Lebanese Ambassador in Cyprus, Mr Youssef Sadaka and senior officials of the Lebanese Ministry and OGERO (state company which manages the international and retail telecommunication markets of Lebanon) had an official visit to Cyta last Thursday, 7th of September.

During the last decades, Cyta and the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications have developed a fruitful collaboration in providing advanced telecommunication infrastructure in the Eastern Mediterranean.

During the official meeting held at Cyta’s Head offices in Nicosia, the two sides reaffirmed their strategic partnership and their joint intention for its further enhancement, aiming at mutually exploiting regional and international business opportunities.

The meeting was headed on behalf of Cyta, by the Chairperson of Cyta’s Board of Directors, Ms Rena Rouvitha Panou. Ms Panou emphasized the importance of Cyta’s strategic partnership with the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications, which contributes in developing Cyta’s advanced international telecommunications infrastructure and in establishing Cyprus as an important telecommunications hub in the East Mediterranean region.
