Grant Thornton Cyprus strengthens Tax practice with appointment of Michael Mavrommatis as Partner

Grant Thornton Cyprus announces the appointment of Michael Mavrommatis as Partner and Transfer Pricing Services Leader, further strengthening its Tax practice and capabilities.

With 25 years of professional experience, Michael brings extensive expertise in Transfer Pricing, international taxation and complex cross-border transactions. In his new role, he will lead the firm’s Transfer Pricing services, supporting local and multinational businesses across their compliance and advisory needs.

His appointment comes as Transfer Pricing continues to grow in importance for businesses operating across jurisdictions. Increased regulatory scrutiny and evolving documentation requirements are placing greater emphasis on how related party transactions are structured, documented and supported. Grant Thornton Cyprus assists businesses in navigating these requirements and developing robust Transfer Pricing approaches aligned with their operations and wider business objectives.

Throughout his career, Michael has advised local and multinational businesses on corporate and international taxation, Transfer Pricing and cross-border restructurings, while holding senior leadership roles within the profession. Michael is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC), where he actively contributes to professional tax committees and industry developments.

Michael’s appointment reflects Grant Thornton Cyprus’ continued investment in specialist expertise and the ongoing development of its Tax practice.
