Leptos Eco Friendly Strategy

Sustainable Architecture, seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings, by efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, development space and the ecosystem at large.

It is a general term that refers to buildings designed to limit humanity's impact on the environment.

An eco-friendly approach to modern-day building combines every aspect of the planning and construction process, including the choice of building materials; the design and implementation of heating, cooling, plumbing and ventilation systems; and the integration of the built environment into the natural landscape.

Our architects use many different passive and active techniques to reduce the energy needs of buildings and increase their ability to capture or generate their own energy.

They take into consideration factors such as building orientation to catch the sun and winds, placement of rooms, and sizing and positioning of windows for natural ventilation. The materials palette is tuned, to energy efficiency and low-energy use with effective application of:

•Thermal insulation on roofs & external walls,

•sun shading elements on the house and in the garden strategically planting  trees to maximise shading during summer and leave the sun to enter the rooms during winter

•sun shading tents at patio pool areas

•low-emissivity energy glass,

•double glazed windows and thermal aluminium

•solar & PV panels for low energy consumption

•High efficiency appliances, A/C systems & Central Heating systems

•Electric car charging stations (where applicable)

•Use of recycled materials where possible and natural materials like local stones and local timber reducing the CO₂ footprint of the building.

Our landscapers imagine, design, construct, and passionately care for outdoor living environments that positively change the way our clients live and experience the outdoors.

They unlock the aesthetic potential of the property and create versatile outdoor living spaces, personalized to fit the client’s lifestyle and highlight the most beautiful features of the homesite.

At the same time, the fruit trees, decorative plants, aromatic bushes and herbs, as well as the flowers, blend with the natural and local nature of Cyprus.

All Leptos projects include, or even exceed the sustainable features as required by the Cyprus Law, aiming to a more comfortable living experience.
