The Insolvency Practitioner certification is granted under the framework of the Insolvency and Related Matters Law of 2020 (Law 68(I)/2020) and is overseen by the Insolvency Department of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, together with the Cyprus Bar Association and the Cyprus Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Insolvency Practitioners play a vital role in the effective management of bankruptcy and liquidation assets, while also promoting a modern insolvency culture focused on business rescue, sustainability and second chances. The regulatory framework aims to support viable businesses, safeguard employment, reduce non-performing loans and provide structured solutions for individuals and companies facing financial distress.
